Thanks for your comment. Actually the built in card works fine once Ndiswrapper is installed and I had just been incredibly stupid and somehow switched the card off via the button on the front of the laptop. I had somehow not noticed. It has taken me ages to get back to this blog, but I found this quickly and everything has been working great since then.

I have also upgraded to Feisty Fawn Beta since, which I have been really impressed with - lots of the post install stuff is now taken care of out-of-the-box.

		<description>just curious, but have you tried the madwifi-ng drivers from svn to see if they will work on your built in wireless device?  i used these for my Atheros wireless chipset in my A105 Toshiba.</description>
